For my electromechanical system class final project, I designed a machine capable of placing seeds on a seeding tray, as well as a mechanism to retrieve trays from an input cart and place them in an output cart, with a cycle time of 90 seconds per tray. This included a gripper consisting of dozens of tiny vacuum tubes that provided the system with enough suction to transport seeds from a large tub to one seed per individual seeding hole, with precision and speed.

A financial justification for construction was provided, as well as the sizing of motors required for the desired turnover, and a simulaition of a real life application.
