ABOUT RODRIGO GONZALEZ

 

I'm a mechanical engineer, graduated from Boston University in 2015. I'm originally from Mexico; I came to America with the intention of educating myself in a respectable institution and developing my professional life.

Product Design is my engineering passion; I love seeing the process and development a product goes through, starting from preliminary design all the way to large scale manufacturing. I believe engineering holds a special relationship with craftmanship, and every engineering process has to have a sound and effective design.

 

I was a member of Boston University's varsity swim team. Being in this demanding sport forced me to quickly learn how to balance a division 1 competitive program with a strong engineering curriculum. I also taught me the efficient teamwork and communication skills that can be implemented in my professional life.

 

I love literature, especially latin, like Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Roberto Bolano, as well as horror, like Thomas Ligotti. I am interested in street art, yacht design and general good design, Dieter Rams being the model to follow. I will be a lifelong swimming and soccer fan.
